Being Self Published!

Getting my book ready to publish took a lot of work. Amazon has 3 great programs for your book, that I’ve talked about already, so I won’t get into that again. Let’s talk instead about getting your book ready for Kindle and CreateSpace.

When I signed up with Kindle, they sent me a book called Getting Your Book Ready for Kindle. I can’t find it on Amazon now, and maybe you can only get it when you sign up with KDP. I don’t know, but it had everything I need to know for getting my book ready.

If you’re going to do use CreateSpace, be sure to use the help for that. I found out that there was a spot to sent my finished book directly to Kindle. The books will link up after about a week if you do it the other way around.

So you’ve written and published your first book, but now you have to worry about promotion, and we’ll talk about that next week. (At least as far as I have done so far.)

Speaking of self promotion, here’s where you can find my book. It’s free on Kindle today, so don’t miss your chance at it. (Today meaning May 1, 2013 in case this gets moved around)
